The Medical Foundation Scholarship

The Medical Foundation Scholarship was established in June 2006 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Sydney Medical School.

The scholarship is available for a candidate who has been accepted for full-time study within the Sydney Medical School and is open to Australian or overseas graduates of outstanding academic merit for research leading to a PhD.

Sydney Medical School Postgraduate Scholarships

In addition to the prestigious Medical Foundation Scholarship, the Medical Foundation supported two Sydney Medical School Postgraduate Scholarships in 2007.

The recipients of these scholarships were:

  • Ms Kristy Joy Rose for her project The assessment and treatment of childhood neuromuscular disorders
  • Mr Hyunchul Lee for his project Functional connentivity of cortico-striatal circuits
