Dr Martin Williams
Dr. Martin Williams is a Fellow and graduate of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Graduating from MGSM, Martin now thrives as a member of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at UTS. He is also a Director of Customer Wisdom an affinity marketing consultancy and Midas Interactive Pty Ltd, the latter dedicated to assisting parents and teachers increase awareness of drug-related addictions amongst their children and students.
Martin has been a director and Chairman of private companies in which he has international experience in Asia, Australia and Europe. Martin came to Australia in 1981. In 1985 he co-founded direct marketing company Cartwright Williams Pty Ltd, a relationship management (CRM) and customer loyalty company consulting to some of Australia and Asia's largest corporate and non-profits, and CW Database Services Pty Ltd. In 2002 these companies were sold to US advertising giant Leo Burnett. Martin was awarded Australian Direct Marketer of the Year in 1997.
Martin is Chairman of the Salvation Army Direct Marketing Advisory, a position he has held since 2002. Prior to that he was Residential Chair for the Red Shield Appeal, Sydney. His team has helped significantly increase funds as well as shape the 'Salvos' future fundraising and volunteer relationship strategies. He also serves on the board of the City of Sydney Red Shield Appeal.
